The beloved Palm brand returned with a groundbreaking new credit card sized device to usher in the industry's first ultra mobile smartphone category.

Unlike a full-blown smartphone experience, Palm aimed to usher in quick action and voice-first experiences on the go, all while delivering all of the apps you love.  The Palm is small enough that you can easily wear it, tuck it into small pockets, or drape it around your neck - and found a passionate user base with fitness, sports, and technology minimalists alike. The software strived to be similarly minimal, safeguarding you against being pelted with notifications or seduced by social media or other distractions when using Palm's Life Mode feature.

 

Palm brought on 3-time NBA champ and MVP basketball star Stephen Curry as a strategic investor and advisor at the company.  The new Palm phone launched in 2018 with exclusive partnerships in the U.S. at Verizon and Best Buy. Palm expanded to international markets in 2019 through partnerships in Germany, UK, Spain, Japan, China, and Hong Kong.

Our impact

We worked directly with Palm to bring the product and technology to life, shaping and delivering the end-to-end product definition and experience. We drove the product incubation from ideation, design, through final production, and helped launch Palm's entry into the smartphone category across carriers and retailers worldwide.
